# Acrylic tube sizes: OD × ID × wall (1/4 to 6 in OD, clear extruded PMMA), inch and mm

> What are the standard OD, ID and wall thickness of clear acrylic tube?

- Category: Hardware › Materials & stock
- Kind: Standard part
- Basis: eplastics (24 sizes, page 1 of 2) and U.S. Plastic (14 sizes) distributor listings; wall derived as (OD − ID) / 2

## Notes

- Clear extruded acrylic (PMMA) tube is sold by outside diameter and inside diameter; the wall is derived, (OD − ID) / 2, because neither distributor prints a wall column. Sizes are nominal inch sizes; mm columns are exact conversions of the inch values (× 25.4), not separate catalog data. Cast acrylic tube and heavy-wall tube exist (U.S. Plastic lists cast and 'heavy wall' items) but no table of them was read.
- eplastics lists 24 sizes on page 1 of 2 (1/4 in OD to 2-1/2 in OD); page 2 was not read, so larger sizes there are missing from this table. U.S. Plastic's page lists 14 sizes from 1-1/2 to 6 in OD, all 1/8 in wall. The five sizes both distributors list (1-1/2 × 1-1/4, 1-3/4 × 1-1/2, 2 × 1-3/4, 2-1/4 × 2, 2-1/2 × 2-1/4) agree.
- No STEP/STL: a tube is a plain hollow cylinder with no other published feature. Left out: tolerances (OD and wall tolerances were not read), length, square and rectangular acrylic tube, cast tube.
