They are used in small pulleys, wheels and light machinery. Peer's table gives one width for open and ZZ (shielded) bearings and a wider 2RS (sealed) width for 1601 to 1604; for 1605 and up no 2RS width is stated. - Numbers: Peer Bearing's 1600 series table (inch only; the mm columns here are inches times exactly 25.4, rounded to 0.01 mm). RBC (NICE) 1602 to 1657 via TFL Bearing agrees on bore and OD (rounded to two decimals there) on all 22 shared rows and on width for 21 of them. 1601 is confirmed by a distributor listing (open / ZZ 0.2500 in, 2RS 0.3125 in). - Where the sources differ: 1603. Peer prints 0.2812 in for open / ZZ and 0.3438 in for 2RS; RBC prints 0.3438 in for every 1603 variant listed (shield and seal alike). Both are shown; check the width of the bearing in hand. For 1604, RBC's shielded variant is 0.2813 (equal to Peer's 0.2812) and its sealed one 0.3438 (Peer's 2RS). - Files: none.
