- DIN 5117 is titled 'Schraubzwingen' (adjustable screw clamps) and covers dimensions and test forces. The standard's tables were not readable, so this page does not give 'the DIN dimensions'; it lists catalogue rows of clamps the maker states are to DIN 5117.
- Span (Spannweite) is the maximum opening, reach (Ausladung) the maximum depth from the rail to the jaw, in mm. Rail is the sliding bar's cross-section: the 860200 and 860050 1000 / 2500 sheets print 'profile 27×7 / 35×11 mm'; the 250 / 300 / 400 listings print thickness and width separately (9 and 29; 10 and 32; 10 and 32), shown here as width × thickness. The 400 mm row is an SFS listing of a similar malleable cast iron clamp, not a GARANT data sheet. Screw thread, pad size and jaw width are not printed.
