Blum TIP-ON for doors (push-to-open): Ø10 bore, stroke, door gap, catch plate, adapter plates — dimension sheet Source: Xem Studio, https://xemstudio.com/objects/blum-tip-on-for-doors/ (sheet CC BY 4.0) Basis: Blum TIP-ON for doors brochure and technical manual pages (text values). Body outline, catch-plate size and adapter-plate hole positions are not printed in words, so no file Catalog version: 2026-10-20 Sizes: see table below - TIP-ON is a plunger that sits in a Ø10 hole drilled into the cabinet side. Pressing the door pushes the plunger in; on release it pushes the door open by the stroke. The two magnet versions pick the door up with a catch plate on the door; the bumper version pushes on the door directly. - Short version: Ø10 × 50 mm hole, about 17 mm stroke, for overlay doors up to about 1300 mm high. Long version: Ø10 × 76 mm hole, about 38 mm stroke, for overlay doors from about 1300 mm or for inset doors. Drill tolerance is +1 / −0 mm. - Magnet versions are for free-swinging (unsprung) hinges and need the catch plate. The long bumper version is for sprung (self-closing) hinges and needs no catch plate. Gap at the plunger: adjustable from −1 to +4 mm; one turn of the ejector pin is 1 mm (4 click stops). - Catch plate: a glue-on and a screw-on plate come with the unit. With a sprung hinge the minimum gap is 2.6 mm (glue-on) or 3.1 mm (screw-on). A screw-on plate sits 3 mm to the side of the TIP-ON. The plate's own size and its holes are not printed, so none is drawn. - Position: the bore centre is 7.5 mm from the inside of the cabinet side (Blum's template 65.5010). Fit the unit within ±300 mm of the handle height and up to a quarter of the cabinet width (Blum's assembly-position tolerance). - Left out: the plunger and body diameters, the length of the unit, flange or lug sizes, adapter-plate outline and screw-hole positions (the numbers 20/17, 20/32 and 37/32 are printed as plate designations, not defined). Measure the unit in hand for those. - No file: the makers' text pages print the body, flange, plunger and strike-plate drawing numbers without naming the feature each one measures, and the outline is not stated in words, so nothing is drawn. A plain cylinder for the bore would not be the part. quantity short version long version bore (Ø × depth) Ø10 × 50 mm (+1 / −0) Ø10 × 76 mm (+1 / −0) stroke (output path) about 17 mm about 38 mm door overlay doors up to about 1300 mm high overlay from about 1300 mm high, or inset doors with magnet: hinge and catch plate unsprung hinge, catch plate needed unsprung hinge, catch plate needed with bumper: hinge and catch plate — sprung hinge, no catch plate order codes (Blum lists them in this order) 956.1004 956A1004 (magnet), 956A1006 (bumper) bore centre from the cabinet inside face 7.5 mm 7.5 mm gap adjustment at the plunger −1 to +4 mm; 1 turn = 1 mm −1 to +4 mm; 1 turn = 1 mm minimum gap, sprung hinge 2.6 mm glue-on plate, 3.1 mm screw-on plate 2.6 mm glue-on plate, 3.1 mm screw-on plate screw-on catch plate offset 3 mm from the TIP-ON 3 mm from the TIP-ON pre-drilling for a screw-on plate Ø5 mm (Ø2.5 mm in hard material or MDF, countersink if needed) same adapter plates (horizontal / cruciform) 956.1201 (short 20/17) 956A1201 (20/32), 956A1501 (cruciform 37/32) adapter plate screws Ø3.5 or Ø4 mm chipboard screws, or system screws same templates 65.5010 drilling (BLUMOTION | TIP-ON, with depth stop), 65.5210.01 catch plate position, 65.5300 adapter plate pre-drilling same Files elsewhere (not hosted by Xem Studio; license as stated by the publisher): - Blum (via LDL Online): TIP-ON for doors: version comparison, drilling, stroke, gap adjustment, adapter plates (part numbers) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.ldlonline.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/others/media/tip-on-for-doors.pdf - Blum (via Wilbrad): TIP-ON for doors brochure: drill tolerance, stroke, catch plate minimum gaps — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://wilbrad.com.au/media/474756/blum-tip-on-for-doors-brochure.pdf - Blum: Catalogue and technical manual 2024-2025: drilling template for BLUMOTION | TIP-ON (65.5010), 7.5 mm from cabinet side — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://publications.blum.com/2024/catalogue/en/676/ - Blum: Catalogue and technical manual 2022: TIP-ON for doors, drilling template and depth stops — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://publications.blum.com/2022/catalogue/en/667/ - Blum (via HPP Online): TIP-ON installation: screw-on catch plate 3 mm offset, Ø5 / Ø2.5 pre-drilling — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.hpponline.co.uk/DocumentHandler/1446070/hk-s-tip-on-installation.pdf No true-size file yet: the published figures do not fix the whole shape; a measured scan is planned.
