## Notes

- The chine is where hull sides meet bottom. A small flat pad at the chine (about 1-2 in) adds lift so the boat planes sooner and resists listing on plane (Boat Blurb).
- A reverse chine turns down at the edge to trap water for more lift, allowing a steeper V; chine walk is a side-to-side rolling oscillation (Boat Blurb).
- The file is a reference example built by Xem Studio from the numbers above (Reference RC mono: 585 mm length and 20 deg transom deadrise (SV Design Stealthwake data); 181 mm is an unlabelled width in the same source's deadrise diagram.). Sizes the sources do not fix are illustrative; scale the example to your own vehicle.

## Questions

**What is chine walk?**

The boat rolls side to side as one chine digs in (Boat Blurb).
