# Crank stands with a 625 pocket, 40 and 60 mm axis height

> What holds a 5 mm crankshaft above a base plate on 625 bearings?

- Category: Stirling engines › Drives & mechanisms
- Kind: Hardware
- Basis: Upright with a Ø16 × 5 pocket at the 625 OD; slotted foot for M3 at 42 mm

**Exact dimensions.** Every file is drawn at true size with no printing tolerance. The holes and pins that meet another part are listed below under Mating features, with the fit each joint needs; open those by your printer's or process's clearance before making the part.

## Notes

- A 30 wide × 8 thick upright with a rounded top (R15) on a 50 × 24 × 3 foot. Shaft axis 40 or 60 mm above the foot's underside; overall 55 or 75 tall.
- A Ø16 × 5 pocket (625 OD) on one face at the axis, and a Ø11.2 clearance hole through so the Ø5 shaft passes without contact.
- Two slots 3.4 × 10 in the foot, 42 mm apart, for M3 into the gamma base plate slots. Two stands carry one shaft.

## How it fits

### Parts that fit it
- [Counterweighted crank discs, Ø5 bore, 10 to 30 mm stroke](https://xemstudio.com/objects/counterweighted-crank-discs/): on the shaft beside the 625 stand
- [Flywheels Ø100–Ø200 with hex-nut rim pockets](https://xemstudio.com/objects/nut-pocket-flywheels/): on the Ø5 shaft outside the stand

### Goes in or on
- [Base plate for 1.5, 2 and 3 in tri-clamp Stirling engines](https://xemstudio.com/objects/tri-clamp-engine-base-plate/): M3 through the foot slots into the plate slots

### Connects to
- [Ball bearings, 683 to 6210 and flanged F6xx (ISO 15)](https://xemstudio.com/objects/ball-bearings-metric/): 625 in the Ø16 pocket
- [Crankshafts Ø3, Ø5 and Ø8 with full-length D-flat](https://xemstudio.com/objects/stirling-crankshafts/): Ø5 shaft through the 625

### Also needed
