Lifting eye bolts, DIN 580, M6–M36: eye, collar, height, thread length (dimensions only) — dimension sheet Source: Xem Studio, https://xemstudio.com/objects/eye-bolts-din-580/ (sheet CC BY 4.0) Basis: Elesa-Ganter's DIN 580 datasheet (steel, NI and A4 rows carry the same dimensions), a distributor reprint for M8, M12, M16, M24, and McMaster-Carr's DIN 580 table as printed; dimensions only, no load values Catalog version: 2026-10-20 Sizes: see table below - Dimensions are in mm for the Ganter DIN 580 table, columns d2, d3, d4, e, h, k, l and m exactly as headed there. Ganter does not define the letters beside its table; the distributor reprint (M8, M12, M16, M24) repeats the same values and does not define them either, so none is interpreted. The steel (C15E, zinc plated), NI and A4 stainless rows print identical dimensions for the sizes they share (M6–M24; steel also M30, M36). - McMaster-Carr's DIN 580 zinc-plated steel 'with shoulder' table prints 'Thread Lg.' and 'Shank Lg.' (equal in every row), 'Eye Dia.' and 'Overall Lg.'. Its thread length equals Ganter's l for every size except M12, where McMaster prints 21 and Ganter 20.5; h + l equals McMaster's overall length for every size except M12 (73.5 against 73). McMaster's eye diameter equals Ganter's d4 for M8 to M36 and differs for M6 (19 against 20); it does not equal d2 for M30 (60 against 65) or M36 (70 against 75). McMaster's column is shown as printed; which Ganter letter it corresponds to is not stated by either site. - Load values are left out on purpose. Ganter prints three max-load columns (F1, F2, F3 in N) without saying in the text which load case each is, and a lifting-load figure should come from the marking on your eye bolt and the standard, not from a dimension page. DIN 580 also covers M42 to M100 (listed by Ganter as not in its table); those sizes were not read. - Not published as numbers in the sources read: the eye's cross-section, the neck between eye and collar, thread run-out. No file is drawn for that reason (the letters h, d3 and k alone do not define the shape). McMaster-Carr sells DIN 580 eyebolts with per-part STEP; its DIN 580 page is linked, not copied.
