## Notes

- Kick-up is the side-view angle of the front inner hinge pins, pointing up toward the front (CompetitionX). It adds to caster and lets the front wheels roll over bumps.
- More kick-up improves bump absorption and high-speed stability and gives smoother braking; less sharpens initial steering and front bite but feels nervous on rough tracks (CompetitionX; Adrenaline RC).
- Most off-road buggies start around 25-30 deg and adjust in 2-5 deg steps (CompetitionX).
- Used on: 1/10 off-road buggies.
- The file is a reference example built by Xem Studio from the numbers above (Reference 1/10 off-road: track 250 mm and 90 mm wheel+tyre (EFRA maxima); wheelbase illustrative. kick-up modelled on the caster builder.). Sizes the sources do not fix are illustrative; scale the example to your own vehicle.

## Sizes

| parameter | value or range | source |
|---|---|---|
| Typical buggy kick-up | 25-30 deg | CompetitionX |
| Example values | 20, 25, 30 deg | CompetitionX |
| Adjustment step | about 2-5 deg | CompetitionX |
| Kick-up in caster stack-up example | 11 deg | Tekno setup guide |

## Questions

**Is kick-up the same as caster?**

No, but they are linked: raising the front block or lowering the rear increases kick-up and often caster (Adrenaline RC).
