- 1/4 in hardboard: Ø1/4 in (6.35 mm) holes on 1 in (25.4 mm) centres. Thin board (1/8–3/16 in) takes smaller hooks; check your hole before buying hooks.
- A '3/16 × 4 × 8' panel actually measures 0.155 × 47.7 × 95.7 in (3.94 × 1211.6 × 2430.8 mm).
- Hook wire: standard 5/32 in (3.97 mm), medium 3/16 in (4.76), heavy 1/4 in (6.35). Hook legs sit one hole (1 in) apart.
- Metal pegboard (Wall Control): 20-gauge steel with a 3/4 in stand-off flange, mounting holes on 16 in studs, takes standard 1/4 in hooks.
- Printed hooks: PETG, 4 walls; the test strip checks fit before you print a set.
