## Overall (mm)

| length | width | height |
|---|---|---|
| 200.0 | 20.0 | 20.0 |

**Exact dimensions.** True size, with no printing tolerance added.

## Notes

- Woodworking joint drawn for 3D printing: the parts lock together by shape, so a print can be joined without glue or screws. Drawn at true size with the parts line to line (zero gap) in their assembled position — add your printer's fit allowance to the mating faces (your AI or slicer can do this).
- Joins two members end to end along a long sloped face. 1:8 to 1:12 is used for structural glued scarfs; 1:4 keeps the part short.

## Sizes

| dimension | value |
|---|---|
| stock | 20 × 20 mm square |
| parts | part a, part b |
| slope | 1:4 (80 mm long in 20 mm stock) |
| assembles | faces together, glued or bolted |
| holds | only with glue or fasteners |

## Questions

**What ratio for a scarf joint?**

1:8 to 1:12 for glued structural joints; this one is 1:4 to keep the part short.
