## Notes

- The bumper protects the chassis and front suspension in collisions, and rules keep it non-hazardous and inside the body outline: no part may extend outside the body shell viewed from any direction (AARCMCC) and no hazardous protruding bumpers are allowed (ROAR).
- EFRA fixes materials: wire bumpers 2.5-4 mm wire, sheet bumpers 2.5-6.5 mm thick, closed-cell foam up to 2 cm; 1/12 bumpers may extend 13 mm ahead of the body.
- Off-road chassis sweep the front upward (kick-up) so the front rolls over obstacles; most buggies start around 25-30 deg (CompetitionX).

## Questions

**Can a bumper stick out past the body?**

Not on AARCMCC on-road cars; EFRA 1/12 allows 13 mm forward.
