Strut channel, 1-5/8 in (Unistrut / B-Line): profile, lips, slots and hole patterns — dimension sheet Source: Xem Studio, https://xemstudio.com/objects/strut-channel-1-5-8/ (sheet CC BY 4.0) Basis: Unistrut 1-5/8 Framing System catalog (channel pages); Eaton B-Line channel and fittings catalog sections Catalog version: 2026-10-20 Overall (mm): width 41.27 - Strut channel (Unistrut, B-Line and the many compatibles) is a 1-5/8 in wide cold-formed C section with the top edges turned in and down to form lips. A channel nut drops through the 7/8 in slot, turns 90° and its grooves bite the lips, so fittings, clamps and brackets bolt on anywhere along the length. - The profile numbers are the same on every height in both makers' drawings: 3/8 in flanges each side, a 7/8 in slot and 9/32 in lips. Heights and gauges are from the Unistrut selection table; B-Line prints the same flanges and lip on B11, B12, B22, B24, B32, B42 and B52. - Neither maker publishes the bend radii, so the files are drawn with sharp bends: the section is a little fuller than the real channel (P1000: 0.584 in² drawn vs .555 in² published). The lip depth is drawn from the top face down. - Files are 6 in pieces. The hole and slot spacing is published; the distance from the cut end to the first hole is not (it depends where the channel was cut), so each pattern is centred on the piece. - Knockouts are partly sheared discs, not holes, so no knockout file is drawn; their size and spacing are in the table. The 16 ga 13/16 in profile (P4000 / B26 family) prints different flange numbers and is left out of the files. - Fittings (flat plates, angles, brackets) share one hole pattern: 9/16 in holes, 1-7/8 in apart, 13/16 in from the end, on a 1-5/8 in wide plate. That matches the 1-7/8 in hole spacing in the channel back. parameter value width (all) 1-5/8 in (41.3 mm) slot opening between the lips 7/8 in (22.2 mm) top flange, outer face to slot edge (each side) 3/8 in (9.5 mm) inturned lip depth (from the top face) 9/32 in (7.1 mm) 12 ga thickness .105 in (2.7 mm) 14 ga thickness .075 in (1.9 mm) 16 ga thickness .060 in (1.5 mm) height 1-5/8 in (41.3 mm) Unistrut P1000 (12 ga), P1100 (14 ga), P2000 (16 ga); B-Line B22 (12 ga), B24 (14 ga) height 1-3/8 in (34.9 mm) Unistrut P3000 (12 ga); B-Line B32 height 1 in (25.4 mm) Unistrut P4400 (12 ga); B-Line B42 height 7/8 in (22.2 mm) Unistrut P3300 (12 ga) height 13/16 in (20.6 mm) Unistrut P4000 (16 ga), P4100 (14 ga), P4520 (12 ga); B-Line B52 (12 ga), B54 (14 ga) height 2-7/16 in (61.9 mm) Unistrut P5500 (12 ga); B-Line B12 height 3-1/4 in (82.6 mm) Unistrut P5000 (12 ga); B-Line B11; or two 1-5/8 channels back to back (P1001) slotted back 9/16 × 1-1/8 in (14.3 × 28.6 mm) slots on 2 in (50.8 mm) centres holes in the back 9/16 in (14.3 mm) holes on 1-7/8 in (47.6 mm) centres knockouts 7/8 in (22.2 mm) on 6 in (152.4 mm) centres long slots (other patterns) 13/32 × 3 in (10.3 × 76.2 mm) on 4 in centres; 7/8 × 2-3/4 in on 3-1/2 in centres; 11/16 × 2 in on 3 in centres fitting bolt holes 9/16 in (14.3 mm), 1-7/8 in (47.6 mm) on centre, 13/16 in (20.6 mm) from the end fitting width / thickness 1-5/8 in (41.3 mm) / 7/32 in (5.5 mm) (B-Line) P1000 section area (published) .555 in² (3.58 cm²); this file's sharp-bend section: 0.584 in² Files elsewhere (not hosted by Xem Studio; license as stated by the publisher): - Unistrut (Atkore): 1-5/8" Framing System catalog: Channels (P1000 to P5500 drawings, selection table, hole patterns) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://unistrut.biz/content/CatalogPDFs/1-5-8-Channel.pdf - Eaton B-Line: B-Line series strut systems: Channel and combinations catalog section (B11 to B56 profiles, hole patterns) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.eaton.com/content/dam/eaton/products/support-systems/strut-systems-&-accessories/b-line-series-strut-channel/channel-and-combinations-catalog-section.pdf - Eaton B-Line: B-Line series strut systems: Strut fittings catalog section (general fitting hole size, spacing, width, thickness) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.eaton.com/content/dam/eaton/products/support-systems/strut-systems-&-accessories/strut-fittings-and-accessories/strut-fittings-catalog-section.pdf - Unistrut Ohio (Unistrut service centre): P5000HS channel: 9/16" holes 1-7/8" on center, back side — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://unistrutohio.com/products/p5000hs Free files (CC BY 4.0, Xem Studio; STEP + STL, 10 parts): https://xemstudio.com/files/hardware/strut-channel-1-5-8/index.json API: https://xemstudio.com/api/geometry?object=strut-channel-1-5-8
