# Sugatsune / Lamp magnetic touch latches ML-120, ML-30, MLC-100: stroke, body size, forces

> How far does a Sugatsune touch latch push the door and how big is it?

- Category: Hardware › Furniture & cabinet hardware
- Kind: Standard part
- Basis: Sugatsune / Lamp product spec tables (text values). Hole sizes and screw positions are in the maker's drawings, not in words, so no file

## Notes

- These are surface-mounted push-to-open latches for full-size doors: a spring slide with a magnet in the body, and a movable steel strike plate on the door. Push the door in and it is released and pushed out by the stroke.
- Stroke: ML-120 40 mm; MLC-100 23 mm (15/16 in); MLC-HT130 40 mm (1-9/16 in); ML-30 8.5 mm. The MLC-100 strike plate self-adjusts ±3.5 mm horizontally. The ML-120 on an inset door needs a push-in allowance of at least 3.5 mm in the latch part.
- Body sizes are the spec-table figures (ML-120: 70, 46, 17 mm; ML-30: 30.8 × 75 mm); the table does not say which letter is length or height on the part, so check against the part. Holding forces below are the maker's.
- Left out: screw-hole sizes and spacing, strike-plate outline and slot sizes. The data-sheet text prints several callouts (for example 45, 53, 66, 98 mm on the MLC-100) with no label tying them to a feature, and one conflicting vertical strike adjustment (±2 vs ±4 mm), so none are used.
- No file: the makers' text pages print the body, flange, plunger and strike-plate drawing numbers without naming the feature each one measures, and the outline is not stated in words, so nothing is drawn. A plain cylinder for the bore would not be the part.
