## Notes

- A disc fixed obliquely on a shaft: a rod parallel to the shaft, pressed against the disc's face, moves up and down once per turn — stroke 2 r tan θ at radius r (here 2 × 14 × tan 15° = 7.5 mm).
- Catalog Ø40 × 15° swash plate and ball-ended follower; follower at 14 mm radius in a square guide, its Ø8 ball touching the face (centre 4.53 mm above the plate's hub centre).
- Brown's No. 95 (oblique disc on an upright shaft giving reciprocating motion to a rod resting on it).
- Parts (each has its own page): swash-plate, swash-follower-guide-sq8, linear-shafts-h6.
- Brown's movement No. 95 (1868) shows it; this model is a Xem Studio design following his figure, every part at true size.

A disc fixed obliquely on a shaft: a rod parallel to the shaft, pressed against the disc's face, moves up and down once per turn — stroke 2 r tan θ at radius r (here 2 × 14 × tan 15° = 7.5 mm).
