Taper-Lock bushings 1008 to 5050: bore range, length through bore, set screw and cap screw sizes — dimension sheet Source: Xem Studio, https://xemstudio.com/objects/taper-lock-bushings-1008-to-5050/ (sheet CC BY 4.0) Basis: A-Metric Taper-Lock table (bore ranges, length, screws), length and 1008 to 1310 bore ranges confirmed by Tsubaki, 1108 by Martin's sheet; partial by design Catalog version: 2026-10-20 Sizes: see table below - Taper-Lock (A-Metric, Tsubaki) or taper bushing (Martin) is a split tapered bushing that clamps a hub to a shaft; the table lists the sizes from 1008 to 5050. The bushing number is the style (1008, 1108, 1210 ... 5050); a hub or sprocket 'for 1210' fits any bore the 1210 bushing is cut to. - Table: length through bore L and screw sizes from A-Metric's Taper-Lock page (inch group), bore ranges from the same page (metric group). L of the first five bushings equals the B column of Tsubaki's table (7/8, 7/8, 1, 1-1/2, 1 in; Tsubaki does not label the column), whose inch bore ranges (0.500 to 1.000, 1.125, 1.250, 1.250, 1.375 in for 1008 to 1310) are also used. Martin's 1108 sheet agrees on the 0.500 to 1.125 in range and on two 1/4-20 × 1/2 set screws tightened to 55 in-lb. Bores outside the table's range are special. - Metric bore range note: A-Metric's metric group lists 2517 and 2525 as 'BSW' versions with the screw sizes in the inch rows differing slightly from the ANSI ones, and shows 3525 to 5050 with socket-head cap screws. The ranges are one maker's list; check the catalogue for the exact bore and keyway. - Left out: flange diameter and bolt circle. Tsubaki and Martin print columns A and D (A 1.386 / 1.511 / 1.875 / 1.875 / 2.000 in and D 1.328 / 1.453 / 1.750 / 1.750 / 1.875 in for 1008 to 1310) but the pages read do not say which is which, so neither is shown; do not use them for a pocket. The tapered outside diameter, the taper, keyway sizes (only Martin's 1108 table was read) and weights are not tabulated. - No files: the tapered outside diameter and the split are not published in the tables read, so a bushing file would be invented. For a hub drawing, take the dimensions from the maker's CAD or catalogue (links below). - Keys: bushings use parallel keys; sizes are on the parallel-keys-din-6885 and square-keys-inch pages. bushing length through bore L, in (mm) inch bore range, in metric bore range, mm screws per bushing (A-Metric: qty × size) 1008 0.875 (22.2) 0.500 to 1.000 11 to 25 2 × 1/4-20 × 1/2 set 1108 0.875 (22.2) 0.500 to 1.125 11 to 28 2 × 1/4-20 × 1/2 set 1210 1 (25.4) 0.500 to 1.250 11 to 32 2 × 3/8-16 × 5/8 set 1215 1.5 (38.1) 0.500 to 1.250 14 to 32 2 × 3/8-16 × 5/8 set 1310 1 (25.4) 0.500 to 1.375 14 to 35 2 × 3/8-16 × 5/8 set 1610 1 (25.4) — 12 to 42 2 × 3/8-16 × 5/8 set 1615 1.5 (38.1) — 14 to 42 2 × 3/8-16 × 5/8 set 2012 1.25 (31.8) — 15 to 50 2 × 7/16-14 × 7/8 set 2517 1.75 (44.4) — 18 to 65 2 × 1/2-12 × 1 set 2525 2.5 (63.5) — 20 to 60 2 × 1/2-12 × 1 set 3020 2 (50.8) — 25 to 75 2 × 5/8-11 × 1-1/4 set 3030 3 (76.2) — 35 to 75 2 × 5/8-11 × 1-1/4 set 3525 2.5 (63.5) — 35 to 90 2 × 1/2 × 1-1/2 socket head cap 3535 3.5 (88.9) — 35 to 90 2 × 5/8 × 1-3/4 socket head cap 4030 4 (101.6) — 48 to 100 2 × 5/8 × 1-3/4 socket head cap 4040 4 (101.6) — 48 to 100 2 × 3/4 × 2 socket head cap 4545 4.5 (114.3) — 55 to 110 2 × 7/8 × 2-1/4 socket head cap 5050 5 (127.0) — 70 to 125 2 × 7/8 × 2-1/4 socket head cap Files elsewhere (not hosted by Xem Studio; license as stated by the publisher): - A-Metric: Taper-Lock type bushings: bore ranges (metric and inch), length through bore, set screw and cap screw sizes — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.ametric.com/Images/document/Bushings-TaperLockType.pdf - Tsubaki: TAPER-LOCK bushings 1008 to 1310 (dimension columns A, B, D, F2 and inch bore range) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://catalog.tsubaki.ca/sl/compare/taper-lock-bushings/taper-lock-bushings-1008-through-3030 - Martin Sprocket (via Raptor Supplies data sheet): Taper bushing 1108: bore ranges, keyways, 1/4-20 × 1/2 set screws (2), 55 in-lb — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://static.raptorsupplies.com/catalog/product/datasheet/martin-sprocket-1108-11-16.pdf - Tsubaki (US): Roller chain, sprockets and TAPER-LOCK bushings: maker catalogue with CAD downloads — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.tsubaki.com/ - Martin Sprocket: Martin Sprocket & Gear CAD library (sprockets, QD and taper bushings) — web — Publisher's page; dimensions are facts — https://www.martinsprocket.com/ No true-size file yet: the published figures do not fix the whole shape; a measured scan is planned.
