Thermoacoustic water jacket: 14 mm clamp-on halves for a 2 in tri-clamp tube — dimension sheet Source: Xem Studio, https://xemstudio.com/objects/thermoacoustic-water-jacket/ (CC BY 4.0) Basis: Bore = ASME BPE 2 in tube OD Ø50.8; length and start position from the exchanger positions in tools/gen_ta_family.py; ISO 273 medium clearance for M4 Catalog version: 2026-10-20 Sizes: see table below - A short jacket for the one place a thermoacoustic core must be held at room temperature: the tube wall over an ambient heat exchanger. It is 14 mm long so it covers the 10 mm exchanger and stops before the regenerator or stack; it starts 9.35 mm from the clamp face, 0.5 mm clear of the clamp. - Two identical halves close on the tube with one M4 × 25 and nut each side. Each half has its own closed water chamber (6 mm deep, 11 long) and two Ø6 hose spigots, in and out; run the two halves in series with a short hose, or in parallel. - The inner wall is the heat path: tube wall, jacket wall, water. What it is made of is the builder's choice; the file is the geometry. - Fits: bore clamps on the tube OD (the 1 mm split is the take-up); spigots are a press fit in 6 mm ID hose; ear holes are M4 clearance. feature value bore Ø50.8 (tube OD) length 14 outside Ø68.8 chamber 6 deep × 11 long, per half spigots 2 per half, Ø6 × 10, Ø4 bore bolts M4 × 25 + nut, one each side Files elsewhere (not hosted by Xem Studio; license as stated by the publisher): - Long Earth Society: Engine builds — web, video — LES site — https://longearthsociety.com/engineering/ Free files (CC BY 4.0, Xem Studio; STEP + STL, 1 parts): https://xemstudio.com/files/hardware/thermoacoustic-water-jacket/index.json API: https://xemstudio.com/api/geometry?object=thermoacoustic-water-jacket
