## Notes

- V-Slot is a 20 mm-series aluminium extrusion whose slot has a V-shaped (rather than flat) wall so a V-wheel rides in it; it takes the same M5 and 6 mm-slot accessories as other 20-series extrusions. The pages 2020-, 2040-, 2060- and 2080-aluminum-extrusion on this site draw Misumi's flat-wall 6 mm-slot profile from its dimensioned drawing; this page adds the V-Slot numbers those pages do not have.
- Slot: Rat Rig's 20x20 and C-Beam pages print slot width 6 mm and slot depth 6 mm; Systeal calls all four sizes '6 mm slot (V-SLOT)'. Centre bore: Systeal prints 4.2 mm 'for M5 thread' on all four sizes and warns to check accessory compatibility. The V itself (opening angle, flat width, depth) is not printed by any page read, so it is not on this page.
- Mass, area and second moment are Systeal's own extrusion (EN AW-6063-T5, tolerance EN 755-9, cutting tolerance ±1 mm), not OpenBuilds'. Systeal prints the second moment as 'x axis' and 'y axis' in 10⁴ mm⁴ (20x20: 0.689 and 0.689; 20x40: 1.21 and 4.75; 20x60: 1.73 and 14.73; 20x80: 2.25 and 33.16), converted here to mm⁴; which axis lies along the long side is not stated on the listing, so the labels are as printed. Systeal's 20x20 listing prints 4 slots, 20x40 prints 6, 20x60 prints 8; the 20x80 listing does not print a slot count, so none is shown.
- Alloy and tolerance differ by seller: Systeal EN AW-6063-T5; Electrokit's Rat Rig HW203NRC 6060-T5 with a length tolerance of ±0.25 mm. Both are shown because they are different sellers' products; OpenBuilds' own product pages read for this page (20x20 linear rail) print only the name, price and cutting advice, with no dimensions.
- C-Beam: MakerTechStore calls it a 40 x 80 mm profile that takes all V-Slot parts; Rat Rig prints slot 6 x 6 mm. MakerTechStore's per-length weights (1 lb 2 oz / 2 lb 4 oz / 4 lb 4 oz for 250 / 500 / 1000 mm) do not scale to one mass per metre (4.5 against 4.25 lb/m), so no C-Beam mass is given.
- Not here: any outline, V-wall angle, cavity or web thickness, and the C-Beam's channel dimensions (none were printed in the pages read). McMaster-Carr lists T-slotted framing (6 mm to 10 mm slots and 20 to 160 mm rails) but no V-Slot, so its category is linked only as the nearest family.
