## Overall (mm)

| length | width | height |
|---|---|---|
| 80.0 | 80.0 | 20.0 |

**Exact dimensions.** True size, with no printing tolerance added.

## Notes

- Woodworking joint drawn for 3D printing: the parts lock together by shape, so a print can be joined without glue or screws. Drawn at true size with the parts line to line (zero gap) in their assembled position — add your printer's fit allowance to the mating faces (your AI or slicer can do this).
- The mortise is flared toward the far face; once the tenon is through, wedges driven beside it fill the flare and lock it like a dovetail.

## Sizes

| dimension | value |
|---|---|
| stock | 20 × 20 mm square |
| parts | stile, rail, wedge 1, wedge 2 |
| tenon | 15 × 6.67 mm, through |
| flare | 2 mm per side at the exit face (slope 1:10) |
| wedges | two, 2 mm thick at the head, 20 mm long |
| assembles | tenon in, then the wedges driven in from the exit face |
| holds | pull-out: the wedged tenon becomes a dovetail inside the flared mortise |

## Questions

**Can you 3D print a wedged tenon?**

Yes: print the wedges flat; the zero-gap drawing is the locked state, so trim the wedges to taste.
