Ø400 flywheel on a Ø12 shaft
How big a flywheel does a slow large Stirling engine need? · Hardware · basis: Exact geometry
Long Earth Society build part. Parts of the HTD engines. The engines
Exact dimensions. Every file is drawn at true size with no printing tolerance. The holes and pins that meet another part are listed below under Mating features, with the fit each joint needs; open those by your printer's or process's clearance before making the part. Mating features

Notes
- Rim r 175..200 × 30 wide, 5 web, Ø50 × 40 hub, two M6 grubs. J = 0.104 kg·m² (3.9 kg) at 2.7 g/cm³, 0.305 kg·m² (11.3 kg) at 7.9 g/cm³.
- On the HTD it hangs outside the seal cap at x 186.5..226.5; a slow flat engine needs the inertia (the speed swing is on the list page).
