Breadboard end
How does a breadboard end let a panel move? · Hardware · basis: Xem Studio design — geometry computed in the generator from traditional proportions

Notes
- Woodworking joint drawn for 3D printing: the parts lock together by shape, so a print can be joined without glue or screws. Drawn at true size with the parts line to line (zero gap) in their assembled position — add your printer's fit allowance to the mating faces (your AI or slicer can do this).
- A cap across the end of a panel: the centre peg fixes it, the outer pegs sit in slots so the panel can move. For prints, the same trick lets a long part expand without cracking its frame.

| stock | 10 mm boards, 200 mm wide panel |
| parts | panel, breadboard, peg 1, peg 2, peg 3 |
| tongue | 3.33 × 10 mm |
| pegs | three Ø5; the outer holes in the tongue are slotted ±3 mm |

Questions
Why are the outer peg holes slotted?
So the panel can expand and shrink across its width while the cap stays put.
