Privacy policy
Effective October 24, 2026. Xem Studio (xemstudio.com), Mesa, Arizona, USA. This covers the website, the HTTP API and the MCP server at https://xemstudio.com/mcp (including use through ChatGPT, Claude and other AI clients).
The short version
No accounts, no cookies, no ads, no selling or sharing of data. We count what is read and downloaded as daily totals, without IP addresses. If you send us a request we keep its text, and your contact details only if you choose to give them.
What we collect
- Requests you send. When you ask for an object (the request page, POST /api/request, or the request_object tool), we store the text you wrote, the contact detail you chose to add (optional), the page you sent it from, the channel (web, API or MCP), the time, and a reader type worked out from your browser or client name (for example "browser" or "ai-agent"). We do not store your IP address.
- Usage counts. For each day we count pages, files, API calls and MCP tool calls by reader type and client name (taken from the user-agent header, which is then discarded), the path, tool, object or file format asked for, and, for searches, the top three results returned (not what you typed). These are counters, not logs: there are no IP addresses, cookies, full user-agent strings or per-person records.
- Tool inputs. The arguments an AI client sends to our MCP tools (an object name, sizes in millimetres, a file name) are used to answer that call and are not stored, except as the counts above and the request text in request_object.
- Page-view counter. Pages show a view count kept by a third-party counter service (abacus.jasoncameron.dev). Your browser asks it to count the page's path; like any web request, that service sees your IP address. We receive only the totals.
- Your browser. The site keeps your light / dark choice in your browser's local storage. Nothing else is stored on your device; fonts and scripts are served from xemstudio.com.
- Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare (pages, functions, database and file storage), which processes every request to deliver it; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for what it logs.
We do not collect payment data, government identifiers, health information, precise location, passwords or keys, and the tools never ask for them.
Why
- To answer requests and decide what to add next.
- To publish the aggregate counts on the stats page.
- To keep the service working and protect it from abuse (for example a daily cap on requests).
Who receives it
Cloudflare, as our host and database. The page-view counter service, as described above. Nobody else. The stats page shows totals only.
How long
Usage counts: up to 730 days, then deleted automatically. Requests: until handled and at most two years, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices
- Leave the contact field empty: requests work without it.
- Ask us to delete a request you sent: use the request form (write "privacy" and how to reach you) or our Discord, quoting enough of the request for us to find it.
- Block the page-view counter with any content blocker; the site works the same.
Children
Xem Studio is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we update this page and its date. If paid files are offered in future, how payments are handled will be described here before they launch.
