Terms of use

Effective October 24, 2026. These terms cover xemstudio.com, its API and its MCP server.

Use

Xem Studio is free to use, by people and by AI agents. Automated access through the API and MCP server is welcome; please keep it reasonable, follow any rate limits, and do not try to disrupt or overload the service.

Licences

• Dimension sheets and the STEP, STL and DXF files Xem Studio generates are licensed CC BY 4.0: use them for anything, including commercially, and credit "Xem Studio".
• Files and CAD from other publishers are linked, or rehosted with their own licence and credits beside them; their licence applies, not ours.
• Product, brand and standard names identify what a part fits or follows; they belong to their owners and do not imply endorsement.

Accuracy and safety

Geometry is drawn at exact nominal size with no tolerance, from the standards and published numbers each page cites. Check the numbers that matter before you make or buy anything. Parts marked as Xem Studio designs (vessels, lids, valves, printable fittings and the like) are reference geometry, not certified products: they are not rated for pressure, temperature, food contact or loads, and whoever builds and uses them is responsible for testing them for that use.

No warranty, limited liability

The service and everything on it are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Xem Studio is not liable for any damages arising from using the site, the API, the MCP server or any file.

Changes and law

We may change these terms by updating this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA.
