Rubber buffers GN 351 / GN 451 (cylindrical rubber-metal mounts): diameter, height, thread M3 to M16, stud length, male-male and female forms + STEP/STL

What are the dimensions of a cylindrical rubber buffer or vibration mount such as GN 351: diameter, height, thread size, stud length and thread depth? · Standard part · basis: Ganter GN 351 table (read from its ordering codes), five reseller product pages (four agree on every column, one differs on stud length), GN 451 from a single Winco listing

Also called: gn 351, gn 351 rubber buffer, gn 451 rubber bumper, rubber vibration mount m6, rubber vibration mount m8, rubber vibration mount m10, cylindrical rubber mount dimensions, male female rubber mount, male male rubber mount m6, rubber buffer 20x15 m6, rubber buffer 40x20 m8, rubber buffer 50x40 m10, anti vibration rubber mount step, rubber mount stl, rubber foot m6 stud, paulstra style mount, engine m

Notes

  • GN 351 rubber buffers are cylindrical rubber-to-metal anti-vibration mounts (rubber bumper, rubber foot, vibration isolator, cylindrical mount): a natural rubber body bonded to steel cover plates, with a threaded stud or a threaded hole on each end. Form SS has a stud on both ends (male-male, 'external thread both sides'), ES has a hole on one end and a stud on the other (female-male), EE has a hole on both ends (female-female). Natural rubber, 40 / 55 / 70 Shore A (soft, medium, hard); GN 451 is the same family in stainless steel with a different part number and is listed on Ganter's own page, not in the table read here.
  • Table: Ganter's GN 351 page, read from its ordering codes (the grid is flattened, so the heights per form are rebuilt from the codes GN 351-d1-h-thread-form-hardness). Check: five SS-70 reseller product pages (Elsinghorst) agree with Ganter on d1, h, thread, l, s and t for 20 × 15 (M6), 40 × 20 (M8), 50 × 40 (M10) and 100 × 40 (M16). One disagreement: 70 × 45 M10: the reseller prints l 27, Ganter's table row for d1 70 prints l 28 (s 3, t 10 on both). Both are shown; the file set does not include that size.
  • Where the table has two M-rows for the same d1 (40 mm with M8 and M10), the thread is part of the row. The 16 mm size has only EE heights (15, 20) and no stud length printed. Hardness does not change dimensions: every code is offered in 40, 55 and 70 Shore A.
  • GN 451.1 (stainless, inch thread): only one listing was read (J.W. Winco, 1/4-20, 1.26 in diameter, 3/4 in high, 0.51 in stud). Treat it as a single-source example, not a table.
  • Files: four SS (male-male) envelope models at the sizes confirmed by a reseller's product page: rubber body Ø d1 × h with an Mx stud of length l on each end (plain cylinders at the nominal major diameter). Cover plate thickness s is inside the body, not drawn separately. The female forms (ES, EE) have a threaded hole of depth t; the hole is not modelled. Mass, stiffness and load capacity are in Ganter's catalog (not read), so none are claimed.
  • Left out: weights, spring rates and the full height range for ES and EE as separate files; GN 351 variants with a through hole (the Ganter quick-finder lists 'GN 351 ... with through-hole and cover plate'); other makers' mounts (Paulstra, Misumi).
