Regular shoulder eye bolts, inch (drop forged), 1/4 to 1 in: eye, shoulder, overall and thread length (dimensions only)
What are the eye diameter, shoulder diameter and thread length of a 1/2 in shoulder eye bolt? · Standard part · basis: One maker's regular-shoulder drop-forged eye bolt catalogue sheet (30 size × shank rows); dimensions only, no load values
Also called: shoulder eye bolt dimensions, 1/2 shoulder eye bolt eye diameter, 3/8 eye bolt thread length, 5/16 shoulder eye bolt dimensions, forged eye bolt size chart, 1/4 eye bolt inside eye diameter, regular shoulder eye bolt dimensions
Exact dimensions. True size, with no tolerance added.

Notes
- Rows are the Chicago Hardware regular-shoulder pattern as printed: nominal thread size × shank length, outside eye C, inside eye D, overall length E, outside shoulder F, shoulder thickness G and thread length T (inches). Each size has one set of eye and shoulder dimensions, with several shank lengths; the thread length is per row. The sheet's 7/8 x 5 thread length prints as 2-12 followed by an inch mark and reads as 2-1/2 in against the neighbouring rows.
- Working load limits, weights and part numbers are left out on purpose: a lifting figure should come from the marking on the eye bolt, not from a dimension page. The sheet names an ASME standard for its requirements but the number is not legible in the text read, so no standard is cited for these dimensions.
- These are one maker's dimensions; other makers' shoulder eye bolts differ in eye size and shoulder. The sheet notes special shank and thread lengths are available.
- Not published as numbers: the eye cross-section, the neck blending eye to shoulder, thread form. No file is drawn. McMaster-Carr sells forged lifting eyebolts, inch and metric, with per-part STEP; its category is linked, not copied. Metric DIN 580: eye-bolts-din-580.
