Silicone tube 1 × 3 to 10 × 14 mm (ID × OD)
What size silicone tube for a Stirling engine transfer port? · Hardware · basis: Common silicone tube sizes (ID × OD, 1–2 mm wall); each size as a 50 mm length, and 4 × 6 also at the lengths the syringe engines' transfer lines are cut to

Notes
- Silicone tube sizes, ID × OD: 1×3, 2×4, 3×5, 4×6, 5×8, 6×9, 8×12, 10×14 mm; walls 1.0 to 2.0 mm. Each size is a 50 mm length at exact ID and OD; 4 × 6 also comes cut to 20, 30 and 151 mm.
- The tube stretches over a barb larger than its ID.
- For a transfer port on a can or test-tube Stirling I use 4 mm ID tube kept as short as possible, since every mL inside the tube is dead volume.
- The barbs on the hose-barb page are drawn with the shank at the tube ID and ridges at ID + 1.2 for each size.
- Cut lengths on the engines here: can engine 20 + 20 + 20 (cap barb up, across, up into the Luer tip, through two transfer elbows); Ross yoke alpha 20 + 30 + 20 through two elbows; alpha V-twin 20 + 151 + 151 + 20 through three elbows.
