Notes
- Inches. Installation data per anchor diameter: drill bit (carbide bit of the nominal diameter), wrench size (for acorn and hex heads only) and installation torque in ft-lb. The two catalog copies read (the C-A-2023 pages on a Shopify CDN and the C-A-2018 pages hosted by JFI) print the same values. Embedment depth (from the 2018 tension and shear load table): 1/4 in 1-1/8; 5/16 in 1; 3/8 in 1-1/2; 1/2 in 1-3/4 or 2-1/4; 5/8 in 1-3/4 or 2-3/4; 3/4 in 2 or 3-3/8. For 1/2 in and above two embedments are printed per diameter; the page does not say what separates them (probably two lengths or two base materials), so both are shown.
- Head types: acorn, hex, rod coupler and flat head (Phillips). Rod-coupler nut wrench sizes (printed 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 for coupler models) could not be aligned to diameters, so they are not given. Hex and acorn lengths run from 1-1/4 to 6-1/4 in depending on diameter; flat head 2 to 6 in (summary text; per-model lengths are in the product data table, not tabulated here). Thread pairings printed on the 2018 page (for example 1/4 hex 1/4-20, 3/8 hex 3/8-16, 5/8 hex 5/8-11) were hard to match to every model from the layout, so they are not tabulated.
- Not given by these pages: the fixture (clearance) hole diameter and a minimum hole depth as a number (Simpson says to drill to the embedment depth plus enough extra for drilling dust, or blow the hole clean first, and warns that oversized holes make the anchor hard to set and reduce load capacity). Load values, edge distances and spacing are not given. No file: the sleeve and expander are not published as numbers in the pages read. Simpson's product page is linked as the maker source; plastic wall plugs: ribbed-plastic-expansion-anchors.
