Notes

  • A 3-link uses two lower links and one upper link; on its own it rotates the axle about a moving pivot and can sway. Adding a panhard bar perpendicular to the links locates the axle sideways and gives smooth, linear articulation without that sway (Axial).
  • The panhard's mid-point sets the axle's roll centre (NC4x4).
  • Used on: Axial SCX10 front (3-link).

Questions

3-link or 4-link?

Axial notes the plain 3-link sways; adding a panhard or triangulating fixes that.
