Notes

• Hole size is the drill bit the maker or distributor prints, in inches with the mm conversion (computed × 25.4). Grip range is the wall or ceiling thickness the anchor is rated to clamp. A toggle's channel or wing is wider than the hole by design: it folds to pass through, then opens behind the board.
• SNAPTOGGLE (the Toggler strap-toggle anchor): the datasheet prints 1/2 in for BA and BB (3/16-24 and 1/4-20) and 3/4 in for BE, BC and BD (5/16-18, 3/8-16, 1/2-13); Eugene Fastener's chart prints 1/2 in for BA / BB but 5/8 in for BE, BC and BD, so both are shown. Check the pack of the anchor you buy. The datasheet also prints threads per anchor and the minimum clearance behind the wall (1-7/8 in, 48 mm) and gives the bolt length as wall thickness + thickness of the fixture + 1/2 in; it gives no minimum wall thickness, so none is shown.
• Wing and plastic spring toggle bolts: Eugene Fastener prints one hole size per bolt size (1/8 → 3/8, 3/16 → 1/2, 1/4 → 5/8, 5/16 → 3/4, 3/8 → 7/8, 1/2 → 1 in) for both types.
• Molly (hollow-wall) anchors: the two sources agree on the grip ranges (e.g. 1/8 SR 1/8 – 1/2 in, 3/16 SR 1/8 – 5/8 in, 1/4 SR 1/8 – 5/8 in; 1/8 XLR 1-1/4 – 1-1/2 in) except that Cobra also lists 1/8 SL and 1/8 SHH sizes that Bolt Depot does not, and they disagree on the drill: Bolt Depot 1/4 in (1/8 SR), 3/8 in (3/16 SR), 1/2 in (1/4 SR); Cobra Anchors 5/16 in for the 1/8 and 3/16 sizes and 7/16 in for the 1/4 sizes (and 6-32 / 1/4-20 bolts). SR / LR / XLR are short / long / extra-long reach; XSR is extra short. Bolt Depot leaves the hole blank on the LR and XLR rows (same hole as the SR size is not stated), so none is shown for those.
• E-Z Ancor self-drilling drywall anchors are screwed into the board with a Phillips driver and need no pilot hole; the selector lists the maximum fixture thickness and the sheet-metal screw sizes accepted (#6, #7, #8). The family thickness list is 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8 in gypsum wallboard. The E-Z Toggle 5017 series (large-washer-face screw) is left out because its fixture thickness and screw size could not be mapped reliably in the text read. • Not on this page: pull-out and shear ratings (every source prints them; they depend on the board, its thickness and the load direction), toggle wing dimensions, Rawlplug and fischer cavity-wall fixings (the Rawlplug sheet read printed no dimension rows; only a 2 – 38 mm board thickness range). No file: channels, wings and anchor bodies are not defined by published numbers in these sheets. McMaster-Carr sells wall bolts and plaster anchors with per-part STEP; its categories are linked, not copied.
