Notes
- The inch family of shop-vac hoses is named by its size: 1-1/4 in, 1-1/2 in, 1-7/8 in and 2-1/2 in. The makers here print only that nominal size. None prints the hose's real ID or OD, the cuff OD or ID, or any taper.
- A blog author measured a Shop Vac '2-1/2 in' hose at about 2.4 in without saying which diameter, so the nominal 2-1/2 in is not a verified OD or ID. DeWalt's DWV9190 page separately prints a 2 1/2 in (57.2 mm) hose OD; see the DeWalt page.
- Makes and sizes that share a family connect through friction-fit or locking cuffs, but the cuff dimensions are not published. Armor All: no citable hose or accessory page was found, so it is not listed.
- No file: no source prints a cuff, wand or lock-lug dimension for any of these, and a plain tube is not a valid file.
- Only the numbers each source prints are listed, in the source's own words for what they measure. 'Nominal family' is the maker's own size label; it is not a measurement. Hose 'ID / OD' is the hose body, 'cuff / connection' is the end fitting, 'tool or accessory port' is the other side of an adapter. Inch figures are as printed; the mm in brackets are 25.4 mm per inch. A taper is listed only where a source prints it, and none does. Xem does not make these parts; measure your own hose before you size an adapter.
