Tri-clamp jacket shell: clamp-on sealed jacket for a 2 in tube
Can I put a liquid or thermal-storage jacket on a tri-clamp tube? · Hardware · basis: ASME BPE 2 in tube OD (Ø50.8); chamber volume from the drawn geometry
Long Earth Society build part. An alternative to the fins on my elbow alpha's cold leg. The engines
Exact dimensions. Every file is drawn at true size with no printing tolerance. The holes and pins that meet another part are listed below under Mating features, with the fit each joint needs; open those by your printer's or process's clearance before making the part. Mating features

Notes
- Two halves close on the tube OD in the same place as the finned cooler. Each half is a sealed half-annular chamber: inner wall 2 mm on the tube, chamber 10 mm, outer wall 2 mm, closed ends and a closed split wall, so each half holds its own fill (50.3 mL).
- Each half has one fill port at its top: a Ø6 port through a Ø12 × 4 boss on the outer wall, 8 mm below the top end, closed by the cap (Ø6 spigot). Fill it with the jacket standing as on the engine, port up. The fill is the builder's choice.
- The same four M4 × 30 screws and nuts as the cooler hold the halves on the tube.

50.3 mL per half, 100.7 mL in all.
Can I use it with the fins?
Not on the same 3 in spool: both take the whole plain length. It replaces the finned cooler.
