Notes

  • TIP-ON is a plunger that sits in a Ø10 hole drilled into the cabinet side. Pressing the door pushes the plunger in; on release it pushes the door open by the stroke. The two magnet versions pick the door up with a catch plate on the door; the bumper version pushes on the door directly.
  • Short version: Ø10 × 50 mm hole, about 17 mm stroke, for overlay doors up to about 1300 mm high. Long version: Ø10 × 76 mm hole, about 38 mm stroke, for overlay doors from about 1300 mm or for inset doors. Drill tolerance is +1 / −0 mm.
  • Magnet versions are for free-swinging (unsprung) hinges and need the catch plate. The long bumper version is for sprung (self-closing) hinges and needs no catch plate. Gap at the plunger: adjustable from −1 to +4 mm; one turn of the ejector pin is 1 mm (4 click stops).
  • Catch plate: a glue-on and a screw-on plate come with the unit. With a sprung hinge the minimum gap is 2.6 mm (glue-on) or 3.1 mm (screw-on). A screw-on plate sits 3 mm to the side of the TIP-ON. The plate's own size and its holes are not printed, so none is drawn.
  • Position: the bore centre is 7.5 mm from the inside of the cabinet side (Blum's template 65.5010). Fit the unit within ±300 mm of the handle height and up to a quarter of the cabinet width (Blum's assembly-position tolerance).
  • Left out: the plunger and body diameters, the length of the unit, flange or lug sizes, adapter-plate outline and screw-hole positions (the numbers 20/17, 20/32 and 37/32 are printed as plate designations, not defined). Measure the unit in hand for those.
  • No file: the makers' text pages print the body, flange, plunger and strike-plate drawing numbers without naming the feature each one measures, and the outline is not stated in words, so nothing is drawn. A plain cylinder for the bore would not be the part.
