Notes
- A swivel or rigid plate caster bolts to the equipment by four holes in its top plate. The pattern is quoted as the spacing between hole centres, long side × short side; the plate is the outside of the steel. Rows marked mm are the maker's metric table (Blickle, TENTE), rows marked in are US catalogue rows as printed (fractions of an inch). The sources do not say which number is length and which is width, so the order printed is kept.
- A pattern can be a slot: Colson's 2 series is listed with bolt spacing 1-3/4 × 3 in on three retail pages, 1-3/4 × 2-13/16 slotted to 3-1/16 on another, and 2-3/8 × 3-5/8 plates are listed 1-3/4 × 2-3/4 slotted to 3. The sources disagree on the second spacing (3, 2-13/16 and 2-3/4 in, the last two with a slot), and the plate is 2-1/2 in on most pages but 2-3/8 in on one, so the slot length and the exact second spacing must be checked on the caster's own drawing. Albion's 4 × 4-1/2 plate is listed 2-5/8 × 3-5/8 slotted to 3 × 3.
- Hole diameter: Blickle prints 9 mm (100 × 85 plates) and 11 mm (140 × 110 plates) and TENTE 9 mm; the Blickle 140 × 110 plate spacing is printed as 105 × 75–80, a range, so no template is drawn for it. TENTE prints the long spacing as '80/77', two values, so the TENTE plate is not drawn. The US listings give only the mounting bolt (5/16 in for Colson / Alco, 3/8 in for Albion), not the hole diameter, so no inch template is drawn.
- Heights are as labelled by each source: Blickle and TENTE 'total height' (mm), the US listings 'mounting height' (floor to the underside of the plate), 'overall height' or 'load height'. These are not the same measure, so do not compare across rows without checking. Offset (swivel lead) is the horizontal distance from the swivel axis to the wheel axle.
- The file is a hole-pattern template: a 100 × 85 mm plate with four Ø9 holes on an 80 × 60 mm rectangle (Blickle LK / BK-ALST 82K, 100K-1, 125K-1). The 100 × 85 plate, 80 × 60 spacing and Ø9 are the published numbers; the 4 mm thickness, 6 mm corner radius and the central 50 × 35 mm aperture are Xem choices. Real plates are pressed steel with a swivel race; none of that is modelled.
- McMaster-Carr's caster category is linked for per-part STEP; nothing is copied. Plate and stem sizes of Jarvis, Albion, Colson, Tente, Blickle and others also vary per series, so check the series you buy.
