Leveling feet: base diameter and stud thread (Ganter GN 343.1 / 343.2 Ø25–60, M6–M24; Ganter and McMaster-Carr option ranges)

What thread and base diameter do leveling feet come in, and which thread goes with which foot size? · Standard part · basis: The foot diameter d1 and thread set per d1 from Ganter's GN 343.1 / 343.2 datasheet (as hosted by Dold), plus the filter ranges of Ganter's leveling foot category and McMaster-Carr's metric leveling foot page; option lists are not per-part rows

Also called: GN 343 leveling feet, leveling foot M10, adjustable foot thread, machine leveling feet sizes, levelling foot M8 base diameter, threaded leveling foot, Stellfuß GN 343, leveling feet thread size chart, M12 leveling foot

Exact dimensions. Every file is drawn at true size with no tolerance added. The holes and pins that meet another part are listed below under Mating features, with the fit each joint needs; open those by your process's clearance before making the part. Mating features

Notes

  • GN 343.1 / 343.2 (steel leveling foot with internal thread socket or threaded stud): the datasheet's d1 column is the foot diameter, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 60, and each d1 comes with the thread sizes shown (d2). It also prints stud lengths l1 to l5, a spanner width, a static load capacity (7.5 to 95 kN) and two further columns that are not labelled; the machine reading could not tell which thread column belongs to the socket version and which to the stud version, and the load column is headed as GN 343.2 only while a note says it applies to certain forms. These columns are therefore not tabulated here: use Ganter's drawing for stud length, spanner width and load. The thread sets above are the union of the two thread columns per d1.
  • McMaster-Carr rows are option lists from its metric leveling feet page, not per-part rows: thread sizes M3 to M48 and 1/4-20, base diameters 19 mm to 152 mm and 1-1/4 to 5-7/8 in, stud lengths 6 to 37 mm, overall heights 13 to 48 mm. The page does not say which values go together. Ganter's category page lists the families (GN 343.x steel / stainless; 344, 345 plastic; 638 ball-jointed; 339, 839 screw-type; 440 with rubber cap; 17 to 24 hygienic; 42, 43, 45 with fixing lugs; 30 to 33 rubber pad; 36, 37 machine feet; 244 to 247) with filter ranges: foot Ø 14 to 200, thread M4 to M44 x 2, stud length 14 to 300.
  • Furniture leg caps and risers are on furniture-leg-caps-40mm; extrusion end feet on t-slot-feet. No file: the foot and base shapes are not given as numbers in the sources used. McMaster-Carr sells leveling feet and equipment feet with per-part STEP; linked, not copied.

Questions

Which threads does a Ø40 GN 343 foot have?

M8, M10 or M12 (d2) on the Ganter datasheet; Ø25 has M6, M8, M10 and Ø60 has M10 to M24.

What thread sizes does McMaster-Carr list for metric leveling feet?

M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16, M20, M24, M30, M36, M42, M48 and 1/4-20.

Is there a foot with Ø80?

McMaster lists a base diameter of 80 mm in its options; Ganter's GN 343 sheet used here stops at Ø60 (the category goes to Ø200).
