What are the width and thickness of a 4.8 mm, 6.3 mm (1/4 in) FASTON quick-connect tab and what wire does the receptacle take? · Standard part · basis: TE 4.8 mm FASTON guide plus RS listings of TE parts and Omron terminal thickness; only labelled values used; 2.8 and 9.5 mm not read
Also called: faston tab dimensions, faston 6.3 mm, faston 4.8 mm, 6.3mm spade terminal size, 4.8mm quick connect tab, quick disconnect terminal sizes, .250 faston, .187 faston, iec 61210 tab, faston tab thickness 0.8, female spade connector size, male spade terminal dimensions, faston receptacle wire range

Notes
- FASTON is TE's name for the flat blade (tab) and receptacle quick-connect system; the same sizes are sold by many makers under 'quick disconnect', 'spade', 'blade' and 'push-on' names. TE's 4.8 mm guide cites IEC 61210 (VDE 613) for the tab. The 4.8 mm (.187) tab comes in 0.81 mm (0.032 in) and 0.51 mm (0.020 in) thickness; the 6.35 mm (.250) tab is listed at 0.81 and 0.83 mm.
- Metric 6.3 mm and imperial .250 in are the same tab family: TE prints 6.35 mm, one RS listing of a TE receptacle says 6.3 mm. Thickness 0.8 is a rounding of 0.81. Both are shown as read.
- Left out: the 2.8 mm (.110) and 9.5 mm (.375) tabs and the detent hole / dimple sizes: no readable labelled table was reached for them. The IEC 61210 text itself was not read (paywalled); use the tab and receptacle drawings of the part you buy.
- McMaster-Carr's quick-disconnect category and electrical quick-connects category (free STEP/IGES per part) are linked below.
- No files: a tab is a flat strip and the detent geometry is not published in the pages read.
