Rocker switch panel cutouts: KCD1-style 19.3 × 13, 22 × 30 mm, Carling Contura / APEM KG 36.8 × 21.1 + cutout gauge
What panel cutout does a KCD1 rocker switch need, and what about 22 × 30 and Contura rockers? · Standard part · basis: Multicomp, Multicomp Pro, Arcolectric, GEV, Carling and APEM datasheets, plus a McMaster-Carr category row; one gauge plate as a file. KCD3 and E-Switch R5 cutouts were not usable and are left out
Also called: kcd1 rocker switch cutout, rocker switch hole size, 19.3 x 13 rocker cutout, 22x30 rocker switch cutout, carling contura cutout, rocker switch panel thickness, apem kg rocker cutout, rocker switch cutout gauge stl, kcd1 21x15 mm

Notes
- A snap-in rocker switch fits a rectangular hole with a spring-clip body behind the panel; the hole is slightly smaller than the bezel. Rows give the maker's cutout as width × height (mm) and the panel thickness range the clips take. The page panel-cutouts already has KCD1 (19 × 13) and KCD4 (30 × 22) as rounded numbers; this page gives the maker datasheet figures and the other families.
- KCD1-size: Multicomp's MC36328 sheet prints a bezel of 21 × 15 mm and a cutout of 19.3 × 13 mm at 1 mm panel growing to 19.5 × 13 mm at 3 mm; Arcolectric's 8500 series prints 19.3 × 12.9 mm; McMaster's miniature rocker row reads 3/4 × 1/2 in (19.05 × 12.7 mm) from a category summary. A blog (LCSC) calls 21.2 × 15.0 mm the standard KCD1 cutout; that is the size of the bezel on the Multicomp sheet, not of the hole, so it is not used. The gauge cuts 19.3 × 13.0.
- 22 × 30: Multicomp Pro's sheet prints 22 ± 0.1 × 30 (+0.2 / −0) mm for the standard version and 30.2 mm for the metal waterproof cap version; GEV's listing prints 30 × 22 mm. The gauge cuts 30.0 × 22.0 (the nominal).
- Large power rockers: Carling's Contura sheet prints one 'switch mounting hole' of 1.450 × .830 in (36.83 × 21.08 mm) for every actuator, with no label for width and height; APEM's KG sheet prints 36.80 × 21.08 mm with a 0/+0.3 tolerance (it also prints the 36.80 as '1.149 in', which is a typo for 1.449 in, so the inch figure is ignored). The gauge cuts 36.83 × 21.08 (Carling).
- Left out: KCD3 (LCSC titles say 30.5 × 13.5 and 13 × 30 mm and do not say whether that is the body or the hole), E-Switch R5 (the sheet read prints three cutout widths, 30.0–30.8 mm, by panel thickness band but its other cutout dimension was not captured), and the 13 × 19.2 mm size (no maker sheet reached). Panel thickness for Arcolectric 8500, GEV and McMaster was not printed in the pages read. Plate size and 2 mm thickness are Xem choices; 2 mm is within the thickness range in every row that prints one.
