What closed-loop GT2 belt lengths exist and how many teeth does each have? · Standard part · basis: Two shop lists: HC Maschinentechnik (19 lengths with teeth) and Tinytronics (9 lengths); teeth = length / 2

Notes

  • Closed-loop (endless, welded or moulded) GT2 / 2GT belts, 2 mm pitch, 6 mm wide, in the lengths two shops list. Length is the pitch length (the cord line), so teeth = length / 2: HC Maschinentechnik prints the teeth for its 19 lengths and they equal length / 2, except that its description table lists 500 mm as 225 teeth while its length dropdown says 250 (500 / 2 = 250, which the table uses). Tinytronics prints lengths only (110, 158, 200, 280, 300, 320, 400, 610, 852 mm), so its teeth are length / 2 and not read from the shop.
  • These are shop stock lists, not a Gates catalog: other closed-loop lengths exist (the 2MR family in Gates' own catalog was not readable). 6 mm is the width both lists give; 9 and 10 mm GT2 loops exist but no table was read for them.
  • Two equal pulleys of N teeth and a belt of pitch length L: L = 2 C + pi x PD = 2 C + 2 N mm, so the centre distance is C = (L − 2 N) / 2 mm (pulley PD = N x 2 / pi).
  • No files: a closed loop is a length and a pitch, nothing more to model.
