- 6 × 6 mm tactile: body 6 × 6 × 3.5 mm, pins on a 6.5 × 4.5 mm pattern; total height 4.3, 5, 7.3, 8, 9.5 or 13 mm depending on the stem. Design a case button hole Ø3.8 for the 3.5 mm stem, 0.5–1 mm travel.
- DIP switches: 2.54 mm pitch, 7.62 mm row spacing (DIP-style), 9.78 mm wide; length = positions × 2.54 + 2.3 mm.
- Printed keycaps: 3.5 mm square recess for the stem, 1 mm wall; the switch needs 160–260 gf, so keep the cap light.

4.3 mm is the standard; 5, 7.3, 8, 9.5 and 13 mm stems are common. Height is measured from the board to the top of the stem.
