XT30, XT60, XT90 and Anderson Powerpole PP15 / PP30 / PP45 connectors: current ratings, wire sizes and the printed mm values
What are the current ratings, wire gauges and sizes of Amass XT30, XT60, XT90 and Anderson Powerpole PP15, PP30 and PP45 connectors? · Standard part · basis: Amass XT sheets (copies at Probots, szlcsc, comet.bg), Electrokit and Digi-Key; Anderson Powerpole data sheet and product page; drawings are images, so only text values are used; numbers only
Also called: xt60 connector dimensions, xt30 connector size, xt90 dimensions, xt60 rated current, xt60 wire gauge 12 awg, xt90 vs xt60, powerpole pp15 pp30 pp45, anderson powerpole wire gauge, powerpole 45a contact size, powerpole housing dimensions, powerpole pcb hole 1.8 mm, amass connector creepage, xt60 panel mount cutout

Notes
- XT30, XT60 and XT90 are Amass's yellow, polarised DC connectors for RC batteries and drones; Anderson's Powerpole PP15 / PP30 / PP45 are Anderson's stackable, touch-safe connectors that share one housing family across three contact sizes. This page is numbers-only: the rows are what the maker sheets print as text. Ratings differ by source (an XT60 is 30 A rated and 60 A instantaneous on Amass's sheet, 35 A on Electrokit's panel-mount listing, '60 A peak, 30 A continuous' on the Digi-Key forum), so use the maker's rating for the cable and temperature rise you have.
- Why no files: Amass's outline, mounting and PCB-footprint drawings (XT30, XT60, XT60L, XT90 and the PB / PW board versions) are embedded as pictures in every sheet read (Amass copies at szlcsc, Probots and comet.bg), so no body, pin diameter or footprint number could be read with a label. The only mm values printed as text are creepage distances (XT60L 6.90; XT90PW 1.50; XT90PB 4.50) and solder-tail heights (XT90PW 2.8; XT90PB 3.3). Retailers print an overall size without saying which number is length, width or height, shown above as printed.
- Powerpole: the Anderson sheet's housing figure has callouts A, B, C, D (7.9, 7.9, 26.6, 41.3 mm) without a legend in the text, and Electrokit's copy of the Anderson sheet shows 41.2 and 24.6 mm callouts on the same housing, so the values disagree and are not assigned to a feature. The contact tables use letters A to E (for the 1332 PP15 contact: A 16.25, B 7.87, C 3.05, D 1.78, E 3.68 mm) with no legend either. The PCB hole (Ø1.80) and the maximum insulation diameter (4.45) are labelled and shown.
- A drawing index for the Powerpole PP15 / PP30 / PP45 housings and contacts is on the Powerwerx and Anderson pages; Amass connectors' EC3 is on its own page here. A true-size connector file needs the maker's STEP (listed below) rather than numbers re-typed from an image.

Questions
What current is an XT60 rated for?
Amass's sheet: 30 A rated, 60 A instantaneous at 500 V DC, 12 AWG; the Digi-Key forum gives 60 A peak, 30 A continuous.
What wire fits Powerpole PP30?
#12 to #16 AWG (barrel 1.3 to 3.3 mm²); PP15 takes #16 to #20 AWG and the 45 A contacts 10 or 14 AWG.
What size is an XT60?
The XT60E-F panel-mount version is listed at 34.0 × 20.2 × 15.8 mm (order not labelled); the plug body drawing is an image in the Amass sheet.
Do XT60 and Powerpole share anything?
No: XT connectors are polarised male / female housings; Powerpoles are one stackable housing that takes replaceable contacts (Anderson: stackable, touch safe, hot-pluggable).
