Notes
- Aluminum tee bar is mostly sold as 6063-T52 'architectural tee' in 1/8 in thickness and as 6061-T6 structural tee. Continental Steel lists four 6063-T52 items (3/4 x 3/4, 1 x 1, 1-1/4 x 7/8, 2 x 3/4, all 1/8 in thick, 16 ft stock) with an estimated weight per foot and states sharp inside and outside corners. Alcobra Metals lists 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/8 and 1 x 1 x 1/8 (6063-T52) and 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/8 (6063-T5); the 1 x 1 x 1/8 page names ASTM B221 and lengths of 12 to 94 in. Metals4U and Online Metals list 1 x 1 x 1/8, 1-1/2 x 1-1/8 and a 6061-T6 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/4. The two dimension sources agree on the sizes they share. The Aluminum Association also publishes structural tees (with stem radii and taper); no table of them was read, so those are not covered.
- Check: a tee of flange width W, height H and uniform thickness t has area W t + (H − t) t. Recomputed at 0.0975 lb/in³ (aluminum 2.70 g/cm³) the weights come within 1 % of Continental's printed weights for all four sizes, which confirms the flange and stem are the same thickness and the corners are sharp (no radius adds area).
- The sources print sizes as 'A x B x t' and the two numbers cannot be told apart by weight alone (a 2 x 3/4 and a 3/4 x 2 tee have the same area). Industrial Metal Supply's tee page defines W (width), H (height) and T (thickness) in a diagram but its sizes are in an image. So only the two square tees are drawn; the 1-1/4 x 7/8 and 2 x 3/4 sizes are numbers only.
- Files are 4 in (101.6 mm) long along X (Xem's choice), flange on top (y centred, z from H − t to H), stem centred below.

Questions
How thick is a 1 x 1 x 1/8 aluminum tee?
Flange and stem are both 1/8 in (3.175 mm) thick with sharp corners (Continental Steel); 0.2716 lb/ft in 6063-T52.
How much does a 1 x 1 x 1/8 aluminum tee weigh?
0.2716 lb per foot (Continental Steel's estimate); recomputing from the section gives 0.274 lb/ft.
Which number is the flange of a 2 x 3/4 aluminum tee?
The sources do not say; this page draws only the square sizes for that reason.
